Dylan first walked into Epic Fight & Fitness Academy back in December 2010. What started as a young
man chasing toughness quickly turned into a lifelong pursuit of martial arts.
He rose through the ranks at EFFA, earning his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and sharpening his
striking in countless hours on the mats. Dylan went on to compete professionally in MMA, fighting under
the XKO banner across Dallas and Arlington. From slick submissions to three-round wars, he’s shown
the grit and skill that “The Irish Dragon” nickname carries.
Career highlights include back-to-back pro victories in 2018—one by rear-naked choke in the very first
round, another in a split-decision battle. He also tested himself in grappling tournaments like Fight to
Win and Newbreed, always representing Epic Fight & Fitness Academy with pride.
Today, Dylan brings that same fire into his coaching. Whether he’s guiding kids through their first
armbar or helping fighters prep for competition, he teaches with the intensity of a competitor and the
patience of a mentor.

Micah began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in September 2020, shortly after the pandemic. With his kids
already enrolled in the program, he stepped onto the mats to share the journey with them—and quickly
found his own passion for the art. Since then, he has trained daily in both gi and no-gi, earning his
brown belt along the way.
At Epic Fight & Fitness Academy, Coach Micah assists with our Little Ninjas, Kids Kickboxing, Youth
Jiu-Jitsu, Select Team, and even our 5 a.m. adult classes. He has been teaching for several years,
helping everyone from brand-new kids to experienced adults sharpen their skills and build confidence.
What Micah loves most about coaching is seeing growth: kids who come in shy and leave with
confidence, and adults who find accountability and lasting friendships on the mats.
Outside the academy, Micah owns Code Eight Metalworks, a small business specializing in
architectural standing seam metal roofing. He’s also a husband and father of four, with his entire family
training at EFFA. Whether at home, camping, or on the mats, family and community are always at the
center of his life.
